7.) Artwork

Well there's no deep symbolism with the tiger in this piece. Pi's only companion for 7 months, only reason he survived, only reason why he was able to keep on living was due to the tiger, Richard Parker, in his life boat.
The orange paint can relate back to his life on the boat because everything he could see, while on that raft, was either the blue of the ocean or orange. The raft was orange, his life saving whistles were orange, Richard Parker was orange, even the tarp which he slept underneath was orange.
